Jakarta, InfoPublik — President of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) Prabowo Subianto has emphasised the government’s commitment to delivering tangible, sustainable, and results-oriented investment partnerships.

This was conveyed by the President in his keynote speech at the Indonesia-Japan Business Forum held at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo, Japan, on Monday (30/3/2026).

On this occasion, Prabowo stressed that the government’s approach to economic development is practical and pragmatic, ensuring every project is feasible and clearly beneficial.

“In this strategic transformation, our approach is highly practical and pragmatic. All our projects must be feasible, must be bankable, must deliver real benefits, real investment returns,” he stated.

The President also affirmed Indonesia’s openness to international collaboration, particularly with Japan, which he regards as possessing strengths in technology, methods, and industrial experience.

According to him, the synergy between Japan’s strengths and Indonesia’s potential will create mutually beneficial relations for both nations.

“That is why we are very open to active Japanese participation, Japanese technology, Japanese experience, Japanese methods. We believe that combined with our resources, our growth, and our scale, this relationship can be mutually beneficial for both sides,” he remarked.

Furthermore, Prabowo emphasised that the government is not merely offering investment opportunities but also long-term strategic partnerships.

To support this, the government has established a sovereign wealth fund that consolidates various state-owned assets and companies under unified management to enhance efficiency and transparency.

“We want rational management, best practices. We want to eradicate corruption and abuse of power, and the results are very promising,” he said.

The President revealed that the initial results of managing the fund show positive developments. In its first year of operation, several assets have recorded significant increases, even approaching 300 per cent in returns.

“Some of them have generated increases of nearly 300 per cent in asset returns. This is very encouraging, but we know we still have a long way to go. However, we are optimistic about our direction of development,” he explained.

At the end of his speech, Prabowo once again invited global investors to forge closer partnerships with Indonesia, particularly in industrial development and technology transfer.

“Once again, we offer opportunities, but now we offer real partnerships. We seek partners ready to join us in building industries, transferring technology, and growing together,” the President concluded.

The forum serves as an important platform for Indonesia to reaffirm its commitment to creating a more open, transparent investment climate oriented towards long-term economic growth.
