President Prabowo Meets PM Wong at Merdeka Palace

President Prabowo Subianto received a visit from Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong at the Merdeka Palace in Central Jakarta on Monday (6/7/2026). The visit by the former Singaporean finance minister was part of the Leaders’ Retreat, an annual agenda for Indonesia and Singapore. PM Wong last visited Jakarta in early November 2024. According to observations at the location, the car carrying PM Wong arrived in the palace courtyard at around 11.00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time. He was welcomed directly by Prabowo, and the two leaders then walked from the right side of the Merdeka Palace to greet their respective delegations. PM Wong was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong, Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence Chan Chun Sing, Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli, and Minister for Manpower and Minister for Energy and Science & Technology Tan See Leng.
