President Prabowo Meets Jordan's King, Receives State Welcome at Basman Palace

President Prabowo Subianto met with the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein, at the Basman Palace in Amman, Jordan. Prabowo’s arrival was marked with a state welcome.

In a YouTube broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat, Prabowo’s visit took place on Wednesday (February 25, 2026) afternoon local time. King Abdullah II personally welcomed Prabowo, who is an old friend.

Prabowo and King Abdullah II then walked on a red carpet towards the location of the state welcoming ceremony. Several ministers from both countries also participated.

Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya accompanied Prabowo during the state visit. Prabowo introduced them to King Abdullah II.

The two then continued walking towards the podium. The welcoming ceremony was marked by the playing of the national anthems of both countries. The Indonesian national anthem, Indonesia Raya, was played first, followed by the Jordanian national anthem.

President Prabowo and King Abdullah II then inspected the troops. After the welcome ceremony, the two held a tête-à-tête meeting and a bilateral meeting attended by delegations from each country.
