According to a statement received in Jakarta, President Prabowo was honored with a full diplomatic reception, reflecting the enduring and harmonious relations between the two countries.

Upon his arrival, the president was welcomed directly by PM Takaichi, who then invited him to a photo session before leading him to the Hagoromo no Ma chamber, the main venue for the reception.

Lining up in the chamber were delegates of both governments, who welcomed the two leaders as they stepped inside. PM Takaichi then guided President Prabowo to a special platform prepared for the occasion.

Further, the palace alternately played the national anthems of the two countries, followed by salutes from honor guards. Prabowo and Takaichi then inspected the troops and saluted the flags of both nations as a gesture of mutual respect.

With the ceremony concluded, the two leaders introduced members of their delegations before proceeding to a bilateral meeting in the Asahi no Ma chamber, where the Japanese PM personally extended welcome greetings to her guests.

“Mr. President Prabowo Subianto and the entire Indonesian delegation, welcome to Japan. I am very delighted at meeting you again, Your Excellency,” she told Prabowo.

The Indonesian president expressed gratitude for the warm reception, referring to both Tuesday’s ceremony and his earlier audience with Emperor Naruhito at the Imperial Palace on Monday (March 30).

Prabowo and Takaichi were also scheduled for a joint press conference in the Sairan no Ma chamber before concluding the engagements with a state luncheon.

The Indonesian delegation comprised Foreign Affairs Minister Sugiono, Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia, and Marine Affairs and Fisheries Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono, along with other senior officials.
