President Prabowo Leads Funeral Ceremony for Try Sutrisno

President Prabowo Subianto led the funeral ceremony for the late Vice President Try Sutrisno on Monday (2 March 2026).

Try Sutrisno passed away at the age of 90 today at RSPAD Gatot Soebroto and was buried at Kalibata Heroes Cemetery.

Prabowo welcomed the arrival of the casket at the cemetery and walked behind it during the procession. The ceremony was opened with a report from the ceremony commander to Prabowo, who acted as the ceremony’s inspector.

The coffin was then lowered into the grave accompanied by military honours and artillery salutes from TNI members. Subsequently, Prabowo symbolically initiated the filling of the grave, which was followed by members of the family.
