President Prabowo Launches B50 Biodiesel Programme

President Prabowo Subianto launched the B50 Mandatory Biodiesel Programme at the KM 57 Rest Area on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road in Karawang, West Java, on Thursday. The programme mandates a 50 percent blend of biodiesel in diesel fuel. The policy is designed to reduce dependence on imported fuels, strengthen the added value of national natural resources, and maintain economic and energy resilience in Indonesia. The President was accompanied by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani, and Pertamina President Director Simon Aloysius Mantiri during the launch and subsequent inspection of the programme’s implementation.
