President Prabowo instructs Rosan to publicly present Indonesia's investment progress
President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of BKPM and Head of the Danantara Investment Management Agency (BPI) Rosan Roeslani to openly convey to the public various positive data regarding investment developments in Indonesia. The directive was given by President Prabowo when he summoned several members of the Red and White Cabinet to his residence in Kertanegara, Jakarta, on Sunday evening. According to a statement received, the meeting was also attended by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Head of the State-Owned Enterprises Regulatory Body Dony Oskaria, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya. Cabinet Secretary Teddy explained that during the meeting, President Prabowo received a report from Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani regarding the results of his working visits to the United States and several countries in Europe and Asia. Based on the report, there are facts and data indicating increased international confidence in Indonesia. This confidence is reflected in the high interest from global investors and the inflow of investment into various strategic national sectors. “The report shows valid facts and data of increasing international confidence in Indonesia, reflected in the high interest and inflow of investment into various strategic national sectors,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy. Following up on the report, President Prabowo stressed the importance of delivering transparent information to the public. The Head of State considers that the public needs to obtain a complete and fact-based picture of the national investment condition and Indonesia’s future economic prospects. “The President also ordered Minister of Investment and Downstreaming Rosan Roeslani to convey this positive data to the public openly tomorrow afternoon, Monday, 15 June 2026, at the Merdeka Palace, as part of the government’s commitment to presenting complete and fact-based information to the public,” said Cabinet Secretary Teddy. This step underscores President Prabowo’s commitment to building an open, transparent, and accountable governance system, while strengthening public optimism regarding investment prospects and Indonesia’s economic growth amidst evolving global dynamics.
