President Prabowo Inaugurates 3,395 Bridges, Urges Public to Maintain Infrastructure

President Prabowo Subianto listened to various stories from residents who have directly benefited from the construction of bridges and clean water sources. Prabowo then advised that the infrastructure that has been built should be maintained. In addition, residents are expected to follow weight limit regulations when crossing.

“Thank you, Mr Village Head, thank you. And, most importantly, the bridges must be maintained later. Maintained properly,” said Prabowo while greeting residents virtually, as seen on the Setpres YouTube channel on Thursday (13/8/2026).

“Then, follow the instructions. Yes, there may also be weight limits that can be borne or that are allowed to pass at any given time,” he continued.

Furthermore, Prabowo once again expressed his appreciation to the TNI and Polri who have worked shoulder to shoulder for the people. He asked the public not to worry and to always trust the government.

“And I also want to convey that believe me, your government, your leaders are always working for your interests. Thank you,” said Prabowo.

Previously, Prabowo inaugurated 3,395 bridges and 3,000 clean water sources built by the TNI and Polri. The bridges and water sources are spread across various regions in Indonesia.

Prabowo appreciated the construction of the bridges and water sources. He expressed his respect and pride for Army Chief of Staff General Maruli Simanjuntak and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you once again. Convey to the Army Chief of Staff and the National Police Chief my pride and my respect for the TNI and the Polri. I am proud. Thank you once again,” he said.

Prabowo said that what the TNI and Polri have done is a mission of service and devotion to the community. He emphasised that this is proof that the TNI and Polri work for the people.

“I am proud of all of you. You have carried out missions of devotion, missions of service to the people,” he said.

“Ladies and gentlemen, this is proof that the TNI is truly the people’s army. And the Polri is truly the people’s police. This is what we must always remember,” Prabowo continued.
