President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated 1,177 junior officers of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and National Police (Polri), graduates of the 2026 Military and Police Academies. Four officers received the Adhi Makayasa award for best graduates from their respective academies.
The inauguration and oath-taking ceremony took place at the Merdeka Palace courtyard in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/7/2026), with the oath administered according to each officer’s religion.
The Adhi Makayasa award recipients are:
Army Academy (Akmil): Calvin Tidar Sakti
Naval Academy (AAL): M. Rizqi Wira Utama
Air Force Academy (AAU): Yehezkiel Bonaventura Y
Police Academy (Akpol): Harindra Arshando T
In his speech, President Prabowo discussed various contemporary warfare threats that could endanger the integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. He urged the junior officers to master science, technology, and foreign languages to anticipate these threats.
Prabowo noted that the global geopolitical situation is rapidly changing due to tensions between nations, alongside threats aimed at dominating a country or region.
“The world is changing very quickly, competition between nations is increasingly tight, threats no longer come only from weapons, but from cyber warfare, information warfare, narcotics, smuggling, transnational crime, and efforts to weaken the nation through cultural infiltration,” Prabowo stated.
He therefore called on the officers to keep Indonesia strong and self-sufficient in food, energy, defence technology, and science.
“As the next generation, you are the front line in achieving our ideals, safeguarding the nation and state. Master science and technology, artificial intelligence, cyber systems, unmanned technology, and foreign languages. Future officers must excel in character, discipline, leadership, and mastery of science and technology,” he added.
Police Inspector Second Class Harindra expressed gratitude for achieving the Adhi Makayasa title as the best graduate of the Police Academy in 2026. He recounted the challenges of competing with fellow cadets during his education.
“Alhamdulillah, I am certainly very happy. This is a gift from God, who has given me this blessing. I am grateful for this kindness and life. I also thank my family for supporting me from the beginning so that I could become the best officer,” Harindra said after the ceremony.
