President Prabowo Hosts Three Former Thai PMs, Including Thaksin, at Danantara

President Prabowo Subianto, accompanied by senior executives from the Danantara sovereign wealth fund, received three former prime ministers of Thailand on Thursday (9/7). The guests were Thaksin Shinawatra, his sister Yingluck Shinawatra, and his daughter Paetongtarn Shinawatra. The meeting took place at the Danantara building in Central Jakarta, with Group CEO Rosan Roeslani and COO Dony Oskaria also in attendance. According to an official statement from the Cabinet Secretariat, the gathering was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the long-standing close friendship between the two nations. Thaksin, who serves as a member of Danantara’s advisory board, provided input and exchanged views with President Prabowo and the fund’s leadership. The discussions centred on expanding investment opportunities, asset management strategies, and fostering long-term national economic growth. The Cabinet Secretariat noted that the meeting was part of the Indonesian government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen international friendship networks and open avenues for the exchange of ideas and experiences, thereby reinforcing Indonesia’s position amid evolving global dynamics.
