President Prabowo Holds Plenary Cabinet Meeting on Development Programmes

President Prabowo Subianto held a plenary cabinet session at the Presidential Palace on Monday, 20 July 2026. Based on observations, attendees included Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto; Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan; Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono; Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra; Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago; and Deputy Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Lodewijk Freidrich Paulus. Also present were Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Abdul Mu’ti; Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Brian Yuliarto; Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar; Minister of Human Rights Natalius Pigai; Minister of Villages and Development of Disadvantaged Regions Yandri Susanto; and Minister of Agriculture Amran Sulaiman. Several deputy ministers also arrived, including Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk; Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Technology Stella Christie; Deputy Minister of Social Affairs Agus Jabo Priyono; and Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti. Special Advisors to the President, Ahmad Dofiri and Hasan Nasbi, were also in attendance. Hasan Nasbi stated that the plenary session would commence at 15.00 WIB and would likely involve the President’s directives to accelerate development programmes and flagship initiatives. He asked the media to await details once the meeting was underway. President Prabowo last held a Plenary Cabinet Session on Friday, 13 March 2026, where the entire Red and White Cabinet discussed preparations for Idul Fitri. During that meeting, Prabowo expressed his desire for fiscal prudence, citing the need to prepare for potential crises stemming from the conflict in the Middle East, and noted that Pakistan had cut salaries for cabinet members and parliamentarians to redirect funds to vulnerable groups.
