President Prabowo: Happy Eid al-Fitr 1447 H
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto extended greetings for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, commemorated on 1 Shawwal, which the government has set for Saturday, 21 March 2026. For the President, the Eid al-Fitr moment presents an opportunity to strengthen togetherness among fellow citizens as one large Indonesian family. “My brothers and sisters of the nation and homeland, wherever you may be. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ’alamin, all praise be to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala who has brought us all to this day of victory. I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, on behalf of myself, my family, and on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, extend our warmest wishes for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah,” said President Prabowo, as quoted from the official broadcast of the Presidential Secretariat of the Republic of Indonesia in Jakarta, Friday night (20/3), confirmed on Saturday. “Please forgive me for any physical and spiritual shortcomings. Let us use this Eid al-Fitr moment to forgive one another, strengthen our bonds of kinship, and bolster our unity as one nation amidst the various challenges we face,” stated the President. “Let us continue to strengthen our togetherness as one large family of the Indonesian nation. Let us work harder, help one another, and together build an Indonesia that is more just, more prosperous, and stronger,” said President Prabowo. Finally, the President concluded his remarks with a prayer for all Indonesian people. “May Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala accept all our deeds of worship, and continually bestow His mercy and blessings upon the Indonesian nation,” said the President. Officials accompanying the President during his series of visits to North Sumatra, and later Aceh, include Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, and Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono. The entourage of officials who have arrived in Aceh and will perform Eid prayers with the President includes Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian and Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo.
