President Prabowo Grants Honorary Promotion to Former Presidential Aide Sidarto Danusubroto

President Prabowo Subianto has awarded an honorary promotion to retired police officer Sidarto Danusubroto, elevating his rank to Honorary Commissioner General (Komisaris Jenderal Polisi Kehormatan). The promotion was conferred during a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day at the Mobile Brigade Corps (Brimob) Training Centre in Cikeas, Bogor, on Wednesday. Sidarto Danusubroto, a politician from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP), previously served as an aide to the first Indonesian President Soekarno during the transition of power and the Supersemar incident.

In addition to his role as a presidential aide, Sidarto has held several prominent positions, including Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) for the 2013-2014 period and member of the Presidential Advisory Council (Wantimpres) under President Joko Widodo. The honorary promotion was based on Presidential Decrees No. 37 and 38/TK of 2026, which also included the awarding of the Nugraha Sakanti honour to 11 police work units and regions, and the Bintang Bhayangkara Narariya to three active police personnel for their exceptional service.
