President Prabowo Gives Thanks as Recovery in Aceh Tamiang Nears 100 Percent

President Prabowo Subianto conveyed Eid al-Fitr greetings alongside his gratitude for the accelerated recovery following the flooding disaster in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh. According to Prabowo, the recovery has already reached nearly 100 percent.

According to a statement from the Press, Media, and Information Bureau of the Presidential Secretariat received in Jakarta on Saturday (21/3/2026), President Prabowo expressed his hope that the Eid al-Fitr momentum would bring goodness to all Indonesian people. He made this statement after performing Eid al-Fitr prayers with the community at Masjid Darussalam in the temporary housing area of Aceh Tamiang Regency, on Saturday (21/3/2026) morning.

“Alhamdulillah, we have reached this Eid al-Fitr day. I apologise for any wrongdoing, minal aidin wal faizin. May the coming year be a good one for us all,” said the President in front of the media.

On that occasion, the President also highlighted the progress of post-disaster recovery, which he assessed as progressing very quickly and significantly. Indeed, according to the Head of State, the recovery has reached nearly 100 percent.

“There are no more tents, 100 percent. Everyone has left the tents and entered temporary housing or permanent housing that has already started,” he said.

The President added that basic infrastructure conditions have also been restored almost completely.

“Electricity is almost all running, nearly 100 percent, only five villages out of all of Aceh, only five villages that are indeed difficult,” he added.

In addition, the President assured that government assistance has been distributed to the affected communities. He mentioned that all aid has been delivered to the people.

For this achievement, the President expressed appreciation to all parties involved in disaster management and recovery.

“I am very proud and thank all the officials, all the apparatus, from the TNI, Polri, BNPB, Public Works, local government, and all ministries/institutions that have worked exceptionally to help the people,” he said.

The President also conveyed that disaster management efforts are not only being carried out in Aceh but also in various other affected regions.

Through the accelerated recovery, the government demonstrates its commitment to ensuring that affected communities can quickly return to normal life with adequate facilities.
