President Prabowo Gives Directions at DPRD Chairs' Retreat in Magelang Today

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto will provide guidance to the DPRD chairs currently attending a retreat in Magelang.

Cabinet Secretary Lieutenant Colonel Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that the President departed for Magelang this morning.

“For the next (the President) will take off at 08.00 this morning to Magelang to give directions to the DPRD Chairs throughout Indonesia,” Teddy wrote on the Instagram account @sekretariat.kabinet, Saturday (18/4/2026).

Before heading to Magelang, Prabowo took time to swim at his residence in Hambalang, West Java.

The National Resilience Institute (Lemhannas) of the Republic of Indonesia is organising the Leadership Enhancement Course for Regional Leaders (KPPD) or retreat for DPRD Chairs from across Indonesia.

The event is being held at the Military Academy (Akmil) in Magelang, Central Java, from Wednesday to Sunday (15-19/4/2026).

Lemhannas Governor Ace Hasan Syadzily said that 557 participants are attending the DPRD Chairs’ retreat over the next five days.

He noted that the DPRD Chairs’ retreat also aims to synchronise the Asta Cita programme from the President-Vice President with local government programmes.

“Including the global geopolitical challenges that we will face and the central strategic programmes,” he said.
