A warm moment occurred between President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto and King Abdullah II of Jordan. Prabowo was personally driven by Abdullah II to Marka Airport.

Previously, President Prabowo and King Abdullah II held a meeting at the Basman Palace, Amman, on Wednesday (February 25, 2026), local time. The meeting took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, reflecting the close bilateral relations between Indonesia and Jordan, especially in cooperation in education, religion, and regional strategic issues.

After the meeting, Prabowo immediately departed for Marka Air Base. However, what made this moment so memorable was the personal gesture of King Abdullah II, who did not simply offer a formal farewell. King Abdullah II even personally drove President Prabowo to the airport.

Upon arriving at Marka Air Base, King Abdullah II again showed high respect by personally seeing off Prabowo’s departure. Under the aircraft’s stairs, the two leaders were seen embracing warmly before parting.

Also present to see off President Prabowo were the Crown Prince of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Prince Al Hussein ibn Abdullah II, and a number of Jordanian royal officials. Also present were the Indonesian Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ade Padmo Sarwono, and the Indonesian Defense Attaché to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Colonel Dafris D. Syahruddin.

Furthermore, another moment of honor was seen when the plane carrying President Prabowo took off. Four F-16 fighter jets of the Jordanian Air Force escorted the presidential plane until it left Jordanian airspace, marking the high respect of the Hashemite Kingdom towards the Head of State of the Republic of Indonesia.

From Amman, President Prabowo continued his visit to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Accompanying President Prabowo on the flight to Abu Dhabi were Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
