President Prabowo Extends Eid al-Fitr 1447 H Greetings, Urges Nation to Strengthen Unity and Hard Work
President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, has officially extended greetings for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah, which falls on Saturday, 21 March 2026.
In his message, the President stressed that this moment of victory should serve as an opportunity for all citizens to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood as one large Indonesian family.
Through an official broadcast by the Presidential Secretariat released on Friday (20/3) evening, President Prabowo expressed gratitude for the arrival of the day of victory following the observance of worship during the holy month of Ramadan.
“My fellow countrymen wherever you may be. Alhamdulillahi Rabbil ’alamin, all praise be to Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala who has brought us all to this day of victory. I, Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia, on behalf of myself, my family, and the Government of the Republic of Indonesia, extend Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah greetings,” the President stated.
In addition to offering greetings, President Prabowo included a profound message on the importance of reconciliation and national solidarity.
The President hopes that society can forgive one another to strengthen the foundation of unity in facing increasingly complex global and domestic challenges.
“Forgive me physically and spiritually. Let us utilise this Eid al-Fitr moment to forgive each other, strengthen our relationships, and reinforce our unity as one nation amid the various challenges we face,” he continued.
The President also urged all segments of society not merely to celebrate the victory ceremonially, but to use it as fuel to work harder for the nation’s progress. He emphasised an inclusive development vision to create a stronger Indonesia.
“Let us continue to strengthen our togetherness as one large Indonesian family. Let us work harder, help one another, and together build a more just, more prosperous, more resilient Indonesia,” the President asserted.
This year’s Presidential Eid al-Fitr activities are focused in the Sumatra region. After spending the takbiran night in Medan, North Sumatra, President Prabowo is scheduled to depart for Aceh Tamiang on Saturday (21/3) morning to perform Eid prayers with the local community.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Tito Karnavian and Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo were reported to have arrived in Aceh earlier to welcome and perform Eid prayers with the President’s entourage.
President Prabowo concluded his message with a prayer for all Indonesian people.
“May Allah Subhanahu wa ta’ala accept all our deeds of worship, and always bestow His mercy and blessings upon the Indonesian nation,” he concluded.
