President Prabowo Donates Sacrificial Cattle to Wonogiri Community
President Prabowo Subianto purchased an Eid al-Adha 1447 AH (2026) sacrificial bull weighing over 900kg to be slaughtered and distributed to Wonogiri residents through the Citra Suhada Foundation Islamic Boarding School in Jatisrono. The large Simmental breed was bought from Teguh Topo, a 35-year-old cattle farmer in Ploso Village, Purwantoro Subdistrict, Wonogiri Regency, and handed over to the boarding school’s management on Tuesday, 26 May 2026. ‘It was handed over to the boarding school management yesterday evening. After tomorrow’s Eid prayers, it will be slaughtered and the meat distributed to students and local residents,’ said local religious figure Djoko. Teguh confirmed his farm has supplied sacrificial animals to the presidential palace three times. ‘Since President Jokowi’s administration up to now, my cattle have been purchased by the palace three times,’ he said. Throughout his livestock management career, in addition to supplying cattle to the president through his representatives, he has also provided approximately one-ton cattle to various celebrities, officials, religious leaders, and prominent Indonesian figures. The large cattle he raises are typically sold for around Rp 100 million per head. This year’s sacrificial season has seen 600 cattle and 600 goats ordered and dispatched to Jabodetabek and other regions in Central Java. Cattle prices range from Rp 20 million to Rp 100 million per head, while goats vary between Rp 3 million and Rp 10 million each. The President’s sacrificial cattle assistance programme not only has social benefits but also provides direct economic impacts for local breeders.
