President Prabowo Subianto has donated eight ‘jumbo’ sacrificial cattle to the Bangka Belitung Islands Province to assist underprivileged communities in celebrating the 2026 Idul Adha festival. ‘The blessing is that we received eight sacrificial cows from President Prabowo Subianto this year,’ said M. Yasir Mustafa, Head of the Provincial People’s Welfare Bureau (Kesra) for Bangka Belitung Islands, in Pangkalpinang on Monday. He stated that the eight cattle, weighing between 900kg and one tonne each, will be distributed across all regencies and cities in the province to enable communities to celebrate Idul Adha joyfully. Yasir confirmed the cattle will be allocated to the provincial government, Bangka Regency, Central Bangka, West Bangka, South Bangka, Belitung, East Belitung, and Pangkalpinang City. The designated slaughter locations for the presidential sacrificial cattle in 2026 include Al Inayah Mosque in Nelayan 2 Environment, Sungailiat, Bangka Regency; Nurul Yakin Mosque in Labu Village, Puding District, Bangka Regency; Darul Abror Mosque in Air Lintang Village, Tempilang District, West Bangka Regency; Al Alifiyah Mosque in Lubuk Pabrik Village, Lubuk Besar District, Central Bangka Regency; Al Badar Mosque in Paku Village, Payung District, South Bangka Regency; Khiorul Baitilil Muslimin Mosque in Ketapang Urban Village, Pangkalbalam District, Pangkalpinang City; Al Munawwar Surau in Sukadamai Hamlet, Air Saga Village, Tanjungpandan District, Belitung; and Al Falah Mosque in Senyubuk Village, Kelapa Kampit District, East Belitung Regency. ‘The presidential sacrificial cows for the Bangka Belitung Islands Province will be slaughtered at Al Inayah Mosque in Nelayan 2, Sungailiat, with two allocated to Bangka Regency,’ he added. He expressed hope that the sacrificial cattle would benefit the community, allowing them to enjoy the meat joyfully during this year’s Idul Adha celebrations. ‘Offering sacrificial animals is a way to express gratitude for Allah’s blessings, and we hope this donation becomes a virtuous act for President Prabowo Subianto,’ Yasir said.
