Fahmi Yusuf, Head of the Livestock Section at the Maluku Provincial Agriculture Service, confirmed that all preparations for the distribution have been completed to ensure recipients in all parts of Maluku receive the aid on time.

“We have prepared the distribution of the President’s cattle aid for communities in 11 regencies/cities in Maluku and it will be handed out two days before Eid al-Adha,” Fahmi Yusuf said in Ambon on Tuesday (19 May 2026).

The President’s cattle aid for this year comprises various selected breeds to ensure the best quality for the people. Some of the breeds included are:

  • Brahman cattle

Fahmi explained that the weights of the cattle are significant, with some reaching around 980 kilograms. The aid is a tangible expression of the central government’s concern for the people of Maluku in celebrating the major religious holiday.

All cattle aid from the President have undergone strict veterinary inspections to ensure the animals are healthy, disease-free, and fit for consumption in accordance with sharia requirements and health regulations.

In addition to the President’s aid, the Maluku Provincial Government is also distributing cattle aid from Governor Hendrik Lewerissa. The governor’s cattle have also carried a Surat Keterangan Kesehatan Hewan (SKKH), indicating that the livestock are safe and free from contagious diseases.
