President Prabowo Distributes Toy Cars to Children

JAKARTA — President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto distributed toys to children participating in the halalbihalal event at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Saturday (21/03/2026). Parents bringing young children received toys immediately upon entering the palace grounds for the Idul Fitri 1447 Hijriah greetings. Kompas.com observations at the location showed several residents holding various types of children’s toys. “I’m so happy. My child got a toy too,” said one resident named Iba (48) when met at the halalbihalal event at the palace in Jakarta on Saturday. Iba, a resident from Yogyakarta, showed off the orange toy car and train that his child received. According to him, such toys are indeed very popular with his child, especially since they plan to return to Java by train. For Iba, the opportunity to enter the Presidential Palace is a very memorable experience. As an ordinary citizen, he did not expect to set foot in the historic building. “I’m so happy. This is the first time entering the palace. Oh God. I never thought I could enter here,” said Iba. While in the palace complex, Iba also sampled various dishes served to the public guests, from siomay and satay to meatballs. For him, the service provided by the palace staff made residents feel highly valued. Although they had to queue from early morning, precisely at 04.00 WIB, Iba admitted that the fatigue was fully compensated by the atmosphere and hospitality. “The food is delicious, and it feels like being treated like a queen or king here,” he said. This halalbihalal event serves as a rare moment for the public to directly experience the atmosphere at the centre of government while celebrating the Idul Fitri victory together with the Head of State.
