President Prabowo distributes provisions to 36,000 families in Bogor ahead of Eid al-Fitr
Bogor Regency — President Prabowo Subianto has distributed essential food provisions (sembako) to approximately 36,000 families in Babakan Madang District, Bogor Regency, West Java, ahead of Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah.
Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto stated in Cibinong on Thursday that the assistance represents a personal contribution from the President to communities residing near his residence at Hambalang.
“The meeting at Hambalang yesterday was not a Bogor Regency Government meeting, but the Head of Household of Padepokan Garuda Yaksa requested our assistance to help coordinate with the Babakan Madang District Government and village authorities,” said Rudy.
He explained that the Bogor Regency Government was asked to facilitate the coordination process to ensure the distribution of food provisions proceeded in an orderly manner and reached the intended recipients.
According to Rudy, the food provisions are scheduled to be distributed to approximately 36,000 families in the Babakan Madang District area.
“The assistance consists of essential provisions for residents in Babakan Madang District. According to information provided by the Head of Household of Padepokan Garuda Yaksa, it covers around 36,000 families,” he said.
Besides Babakan Madang, Rudy noted that similar assistance will also be provided to various other regions across Indonesia, coordinated directly by the relevant parties.
During this occasion, President Prabowo also conveyed greetings to the public for observing the fasting season and reminded citizens travelling for Eid celebrations to exercise caution on the road.
“He also extended well-wishes for the fasting period and advised citizens undertaking holiday travel to journey carefully and enjoy time with their families,” said Rudy.
Rudy added that the Eid al-Fitr occasion is expected to serve as a reminder for communities to support one another, given that many citizens still require assistance.
“Eid al-Fitr is only several days away. We celebrate this victory together with joy, but we must not forget that many families and fellow citizens still need our support,” he said.
