President Prabowo distributes 109 sacrificial animals to neighbours in Bogor

The distribution of sacrificial animals is estimated to reach approximately 34,000 beneficiaries in the vicinity of the President’s residence, including Cijayanti, Bojong Koneng, and Gunung Geulis villages. President Prabowo Subianto distributed 109 sacrificial animals to communities around his Padepokan Garudayaksa residence in Babakanmadang, Bogor Regency, West Java, on Tuesday ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. Bogor Regent Rudy Susmanto stated that the 109 animals comprised 108 cattle and one buffalo, distributed to residents across nine villages in Babakanmadang District. “Every year before Eid al-Adha, the President distributes sacrificial animals to the local community, especially in Babakanmadang District,” Rudy said. The sacrificial animals were handed over by Padepokan Garudayaksa Household Chief Budi Waljiman and DPR member Marlyn Maesarah to Rudy Susmanto, then distributed to each neighbourhood unit (RW). Rudy explained the distribution is expected to benefit around 34,000 people living near the President’s residence, including Cijayanti, Bojong Koneng, and Gunung Geulis villages. He added the distribution aims to benefit the community while serving as the President’s charitable act during this year’s Eid al-Adha. Rudy noted that despite his busy schedule as head of state, President Prabowo consistently shows concern for residents near his residence. “The President, despite his extraordinary workload, never forgets the local community,” he said. In addition to distributing animals near his residence, President Prabowo also provided sacrificial animals to various regions across Indonesia, including Bogor Regency. Rudy stated that the President donated a 1.2-ton sacrificial cow to be slaughtered at Nurul Wathon Grand Mosque in Pakansari Stadium after Eid prayers. “The President also slaughters sacrificial animals in several regions in Indonesia, including at Nurul Wathon Grand Mosque in Pakansari Stadium,” he said. Rudy added that Bogor Regency’s Fisheries and Livestock Department had conducted health checks on all sacrificial animals. “The sacrificial animals are healthy, in good condition, free from diseases or viruses, and suitable for distribution,” he said. Rudy also mentioned President Prabowo instructed the use of eco-friendly packaging for meat distribution to reduce plastic use, with the regency government promoting the use of besek (woven bamboo containers) and local SMEs’ handicrafts as distribution containers.
