President Prabowo Distributes 1,098 Sacrificial Cattle with Rp100 Billion Budget

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto donated 1,098 sacrificial cattle for the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijri. All the cattle are planned to be distributed to regional governments, educational institutions, Islamic boarding schools, and community leaders across various regions. Deputy Minister of the State Secretariat Juri Ardiantoro detailed that 598 cattle will be allocated to all provincial and regency/city governments. Another 500 cattle will be given to community and religious leaders. ‘All together, 1,098 cattle,’ Juri stated in a press conference at the Presidential Palace Complex in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2025. Juri also explained that the cattle provided meet Sharia requirements: over two years old, male, and without defects. The selected cattle are of premium quality. ‘The cattle source is the result of coordination by the Ministry of State Secretariat through the Presidential Secretariat in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and local agencies responsible for livestock and animal health,’ he said. The total budget for this sacrificial offering amounts to Rp100 billion, sourced from the national budget via the Presidential Social Assistance allocation. Furthermore, the President also donated a 1.3-tonne Simmental bull to Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta.
