President Prabowo Directs Tourism Minister to Actively Promote Tourism Destinations

JAKARTA — President Prabowo Subianto has instructed Tourism Minister Widiyanti Putri Wardhana to actively engage in field visits to promote tourism destinations and all aspects of Indonesia’s tourism sector.

“I request that the Tourism Minister actively visit tourism locations and promote every aspect of tourism across the nation,” Prabowo stated during a Cabinet meeting held at the State Palace in Jakarta on Friday, 13 March 2026.

On this occasion, Prabowo emphasised the need for all services to operate smoothly during the Lebaran exodus period. The President also directed all ministers of the Red and White Cabinet to ensure preparations for the Lebaran festivities remain under control.

“I request that the quality of services at rest areas, ports, airports, and all railway stations be improved. Make every effort to prevent uncontrolled queuing,” he stressed.

Additionally, Prabowo urged ministers to ensure the availability and stability of fuel supplies, electricity, and internet networks.

“The coordinating minister for food, minister of trade, and minister of agriculture must ensure that food supplies remain stable and safe, and that prices are maintained. Some ministers will likely present their reports,” Prabowo said.
