President Prabowo Departs for Japan to Meet Emperor Naruhito
JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto departed for Japan on a state visit on Sunday (29/3/2026). The President is scheduled to meet Emperor Naruhito and Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi.
Teddy stated that the President is also scheduled to hold a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, which will take place at Akasaka Palace, Tokyo.
The meeting is hoped to become a strategic momentum for strengthening cooperation in various fields.
The Head of State, along with a limited entourage, took off from Halim Perdanakusuma TNI AU Base, Jakarta, around 10.35 WIB.
In addition to Teddy, President Prabowo is accompanied on the flight to Japan by Foreign Minister Sugiono and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia.
“After completing the series of visits in Japan, President Prabowo and his entourage are scheduled to continue their journey to the Republic of Korea to carry out the next visit,” revealed the Cabinet Secretary.
President Prabowo’s departure was directly seen off by Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco, State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
