President Prabowo Demands Maximum Punishment for Yuvita's Abuser Taufik Hidayat

Presidential Chief of Staff General Dudung Abdurachman revealed that President Prabowo Subianto has requested law enforcement to punish Taufik Hidayat, the suspect in the abuse and confinement of Yuvita Tri Rezeki, to the fullest extent of the law. Yuvita suffered blindness and other disabilities and is currently receiving treatment at Hasan Sadikin Hospital in Bandung.

“The president’s message is to process this according to the applicable law. He is very concerned about this incident and hopes it will not be repeated,” Dudung said while visiting the victim at the hospital on Thursday evening.

Dudung added that President Prabowo urged the public to immediately report any suspicious or unusual activities to the authorities. He stated that his presence at the hospital was to directly see the victim and her family. “I conveyed that the state is present and deeply cares about her treatment and future. I also received a report from the Director of Hasan Sadikin Hospital that cases of abuse against women and children are not covered by BPJS,” he said.
