President Prabowo Subianto has expressed high appreciation for the performance of the Daya Anagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (Danantara). The Head of State stated that the agency’s leadership deserves state honours for their success in significantly improving the performance of State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs).

The statement was made by President Prabowo while attending the launch and groundbreaking of the 100 GWp Solar Power Plant (PLTS) programme in Jembrana, Bali, on Tuesday (25/8). According to the President, Danantara’s achievements in managing state assets are a proud accomplishment.

The President highlighted an increase in SOE income reaching hundreds of percent within less than two years under Danantara’s coordination. In fact, a number of state-owned companies that had previously recorded losses for over a decade, or even decades, have now begun to reap profits.

“Several SOEs that were loss-making for over a decade, for decades, are now starting to turn a profit. The increase is sometimes beyond what we could have predicted,” said Prabowo.

He emphasised that this success is inseparable from leadership and integrity. The President praised the honesty and great sense of patriotism of Danantara’s leadership in optimising the nation’s wealth.

Despite expressing appreciation, President Prabowo stressed that the government will not be complacent. He is committed to continuing to tighten state financial management to ensure there are no budget leakages in the future.

“We are not satisfied yet, we must be even stricter in managing all finances,” he asserted. The government will continue to strive to consolidate the nation’s strength by ensuring all assets are managed honestly, optimally, and responsibly for the benefit of the people.

Also present at the event were Danantara CTO Sigit P. Santosa, Deputy Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces General Tandyo Budi Revita, and Bali Governor I Wayan Koster, who accompanied the strategic national agenda in the renewable energy sector.
