President Prabowo Claims 2025 Investment Target Already Achieved Four Months Early
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - President Prabowo Subianto has revealed that investment realisation in 2025 has already reached its target. He made the announcement during the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) congress in Central Java on Sunday (21/7/2025).
"I was given a report by the investment minister that Indonesia's investment this month has already reached the target set by last year's state budget. Our 2025 state budget target has been reached this August, four months before the end of the year," said Prabowo.
The investment target for Indonesia in the 2025 state budget stands at Rp 1,905.6 trillion, an increase of approximately 15.5% compared to the previous year. The investment achievement is expected to support Indonesia's economic growth target of 5.3% this year.
On the same occasion, Prabowo also denied that Indonesia's future is bleak. He argued that such claims were the work of parties unhappy with Indonesia's current condition.
"The essence is that we are on the right track. Efforts to make it seem as though Indonesia is in difficulty, that Indonesia is in the dark, that Indonesia's economy has failed — brothers and sisters, these are attempts to dampen our spirits, and they are not true," said Prabowo.
According to data from BKPM (the Investment Coordinating Board), investment realisation in the first quarter of 2025 reached Rp 465.2 trillion, up 15.9% compared to the same period the previous year. This realisation represented 24.4% of the 2025 investment target.
