President Prabowo Subianto bid farewell to Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base in Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon. The two leaders arrived at the base around 4 p.m. Western Indonesia Time and walked past a guard of honour before sharing a handshake and exchanging salutes at the aircraft steps. Prabowo also shook hands with the accompanying Thai delegation members. The visit followed up on Prabowo’s trip to Thailand the previous year and included the signing of two key documents: a Roadmap on Strategic Partnership Between Indonesia and Thailand 2026-2030 and a Memorandum of Understanding on educational cooperation. Prabowo stated that the bilateral meeting produced tangible achievements to strengthen future relations and welcomed private sector commitments, including MoUs on tourism connectivity and organic waste processing projects. Thai PM Anutin noted that the consultations provided an opportunity to evaluate progress and accelerate joint agendas, expressing confidence that the strategic partnership roadmap would transform their shared vision into concrete action.
