President Prabowo Subianto attended the peak event of the 17th National Week for Leading Farmers and Fishermen (PENAS KTNA) 2026 held at the David-Tony Sports Hall in Limboto District, Gorontalo Regency, Gorontalo Province, on Wednesday. The President arrived at the venue in a Maung Garuda vehicle and was welcomed by residents and PENAS participants who lined the streets leading to the activity area. During the journey, the President briefly stood through the vehicle’s sunroof to wave to the welcoming crowd. He wore a brown safari suit and a dark blue cap for the series of activities with farmers and fishermen from various regions. Upon arriving in front of the David-Tony Sports Hall, the President stepped out of the vehicle and took a moment to greet the residents nearby. His arrival was accompanied by the playing of national songs, including ‘Maju Tak Gentar’ and ‘Garuda Pancasila’. Entering the main hall, Prabowo and the invited guests sang the national anthem, ‘Indonesia Raya’. The President was accompanied by Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman, Gorontalo Governor Gusnar Ismail, and General Chair of the National Leading Farmers and Fishermen Association (KTNA) Yadi Sofyan Noor. Also in attendance were Deputy Minister of Agriculture and General Chair of the Indonesian Farmers Harmony Association (HKTI) Sudaryono, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sugiono, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Minister of Marine Affairs and Fisheries Sakti Wahyu Trenggono. After singing the national anthem, the President took his seat to follow the programme, which began with regional dance performances and artistic displays of agricultural and fishery products. Prabowo was also presented with the Adhi Bhakti Tani Nelayan Maha Utama award, the highest honour given by KTNA Nasional, in recognition of the central government’s programmes. PENAS KTNA is a large-scale national meeting held every four years by the KTNA organisation, bringing together tens of thousands of farmers, fishermen, extension workers, and agricultural business actors from across Indonesia to share innovations, strengthen networks, and discuss food security. The event series includes professional meetings, talk shows, exhibitions of agricultural and fishery technology innovations, KTNA consultations, and skills competitions for farmers and fishermen.
