President Prabowo attends International Labour Day celebration at Monas

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto attended the International Labour Day celebration, which was centred at the National Monument or Monas, Jakarta, on Friday.

Wearing a brown safari outfit, the President arrived at the Monas area around 08:35 WIB, accompanied by an escort convoy.

President Prabowo rode in a Maung MV3 while greeting thousands of workers who had lined up at the Monas entrance.

The President waved to the workers waiting at the entrance of the National Monument up to the side of the main stage for the International Labour Day celebration. They tried to shake hands with the Head of State.

Prabowo entered the stage area while the band Tipe X was performing and briefly joined in dancing to liven up the band’s performance.

The President then greeted the attending labour representatives, including Andi Gani Nena Wea of the All-Indonesian Labour Union Confederation (KSPSI) and Said Iqbal, General Chairman of KSPI.

At the International Labour Day celebration, President Prabowo was accompanied by State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Minister of Manpower Yasserlie, Minister of Environment Jumhur Hidayat, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, Deputy Minister of Manpower Afriansyah Noor, Deputy Speaker of the DPR Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, Head of Government Communication Agency Muhammad Qodari, and National Police Chief Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
