President Prabowo Asks PPATK to Realise Corruption-Free State Financial Governance
President Prabowo summoned the Head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK), Ivan Yustiavandana, and State Secretary (Mensesneg) Prasetyo Hadi for a discussion on state financial governance on Sunday afternoon (3/5/2026). The pair were invited to the president’s private residence in Hambalang, West Java. The meeting with the president focused on achieving state finances free from corruption. The president also requested that financial management be oriented towards concrete results, ensuring its impact reaches the wider public. The State Secretary and PPATK Head will promptly implement the president’s directive to realise corruption-free state financial governance. Illegal gold mining networks are spread across Papua, West Kalimantan, Sulawesi, North Sumatra, and Java. “The total value of funds circulation suspected to be related to unlicensed gold mining (PETI) during the 2023-2025 period exceeds Rp992 trillion,” said Ivan on Saturday (31/1/2026). “From the analysis of financial transactions of parties suspected to be involved in the mining and distribution of mining products/processed gold from PETI across all cluster areas including Java, Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and Medan and surroundings, the total nominal value of transactions suspected to be related to PETI during the 2023-2025 period exceeds Rp185 trillion,” stated Ivan.
