“Once again, I ask governors and district heads that when I visit, there is no need to mobilize people to greet me,” Prabowo said during a mass signing ceremony for subsidized home mortgages under the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP) program in Batang, Central Java, on Thursday.

Prabowo said he enjoys visiting different regions and appreciates the warm receptions and enthusiasm shown by local communities.

However, Prabowo said he does not want residents to be instructed to attend welcoming ceremonies. He added that he feels sorry for people who have to wait for hours under the scorching sun just to see him.

“I am happy to meet people if they genuinely want to welcome me. But if they are mobilized, I feel sorry because they have to wait for hours in the heat,” he said.

According to Prabowo, the government’s priority should be serving the public rather than organizing ceremonial receptions for the head of state.

He also expressed confidence that Indonesians recognize the government’s commitment to working sincerely for the people, emphasizing that the administration has no interests other than serving the nation.

Prabowo said the government’s achievements are a source of pride despite ongoing global challenges.

“What matters is that I believe the people know this government is working sincerely for Indonesia. We have no other interests, and the achievements we have made are truly encouraging despite the many challenges facing the world,” he said.

During the event, Prabowo also called on all elements of society to strengthen cooperation and maintain national unity in pursuing Indonesia’s development goals.

He said that by trusting, supporting, complementing, and strengthening one another as one family within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), the nation would be able to achieve major development targets.

“The key is cooperation. We are all Indonesians. We are one big family on one great ship called the Republic of Indonesia. Through cooperation, mutual trust, support, and solidarity, we will accomplish great things,” Prabowo said.
