President Prabowo arrives in North Sumatra for takbiran night with residents

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Medan City, North Sumatra, on Friday afternoon to conduct takbiran night with the people of North Sumatra and perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh Tamiang Regency, Aceh, on Saturday (21/3). According to an ANTARA reporter at Soewondo Air Base in Medan City, President Prabowo arrived at 4:55 p.m. WIB, accompanied by State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi, Deputy Minister of Agriculture Sudaryono, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya, and Head of the Indonesian Government Communication Agency Angga Raka Prabowo. Meanwhile, several officials who joined in welcoming President Prabowo’s arrival included Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin, TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, North Sumatra Governor Bobby Nasution, Bukit Barisan Regional Military Command Chief Major General TNI Hendy Antariksa, and North Sumatra Police Chief Inspector General Pol. Whisnu Hermawan. Previously, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya stated that President Prabowo is scheduled to perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh Tamiang Regency on Saturday (21/3). “Yes, that’s correct, the President will hold takbiran night in North Sumatra and, God willing, perform Eid al-Fitr prayers in Aceh tomorrow morning,” said the Cabinet Secretary. President Prabowo will also conduct halalbihalal with the local residents after Eid al-Fitr prayers. President Prabowo and his entourage departed from TNI AU Halim Perdanakusuma Base, Jakarta, around 3:00 p.m. WIB.
