President Prabowo Arrives in Abu Dhabi, to Strengthen Indonesia-UAE Strategic Partnership
AMMAN, KOMPAS.com - President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, continued his series of working visits to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday (25/2/2026).
As quoted from the Presidential Secretariat’s press release, the Garuda Indonesia-1 aircraft carrying President Prabowo and his entourage landed at the Presidential Flight Airport, Abu Dhabi, at approximately 6:00 PM local time.
The welcoming ceremony was marked by the presence of a guard of honour standing neatly on the side of the runway. This added to the solemn atmosphere of President Prabowo’s arrival in Abu Dhabi.
From the airport, President Prabowo and his entourage immediately proceeded to the hotel where they will be staying during their time in Abu Dhabi.
During this working visit, President Prabowo is scheduled to meet with the President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
President Prabowo’s working visit to Abu Dhabi is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the strategic partnership between Indonesia and the UAE.
The visit to Abu Dhabi also marks the continuation of Indonesia’s active diplomacy in the region, while also reaffirming President Prabowo’s commitment to expanding a global network of mutually beneficial partnerships.
