President Prabowo Subianto arrived at the Parliament complex in Senayan on Friday morning to attend the MPR Annual Session and the Joint Session of the DPR-DPD RI, travelling in a white Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine.

The presidential entourage entered the Parliament complex at approximately 08.05 Western Indonesia Time. Prabowo then stepped out of the Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine and walked towards the Nusantara Building to take part in the state agenda and deliver a speech in commemoration of the 81st anniversary of Indonesian independence.

The vehicle was specially developed by PT Pindad as a presidential car.

The vehicle’s weight is recorded at 2.95 tonnes. It relies on an engine producing 202 PS, or approximately 199 HP, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, with a maximum speed of 100 kilometres per hour.

Security is one of the primary considerations. The Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine uses composite armour material, B5/B6 level bulletproof glass, and R21 run-flat tyres that allow the vehicle to keep moving in the event of a puncture.

The cabin has been designed with a presidential vehicle approach, featuring electric captain seats with leg rests, a touch control panel, a 12-inch head unit, a 360-degree camera, an LED smart TV, cooled storage, and portable Wi-Fi.

The car also serves as a showcase of the national automotive and defence industry’s capability to produce special vehicles for the country’s strategic needs.
