President Prabowo appoints nine members to the Ombudsman

Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto appointed nine members to the Ombudsman, consisting of the Chair, Deputy Chair, and members, for the 2026-2031 term.

The appointment of these nine new members is based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 P of 2026 concerning the dismissal and appointment of membership in the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia.

“I swear, I promise to fulfil my obligations as Chair of the Ombudsman, as Deputy Chair of the Ombudsman, as a member of the Ombudsman to the best of my ability and as fairly as possible. I swear that in performing my duties or anything, I will never accept, directly or indirectly, from anyone any promise or gift,” stated the nine members of the Ombudsman.

The Ombudsman members are Hery Susanto (Chair doubling as member), Rahmadi Indra Tektona (Deputy Chair doubling as member), Abdul Ghoffar (Member), Fikri Yasin (Member), Maneger Nasution (Member), Nuzran Joher (Member), Partono (Member), Robertus Na Endi Jaweng (Member), and Syafrida Rachmawati Rasahan (Member).

Several officials were present at the event, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections Yusril Ihza Mahendra, and Coordinating Minister for Politics and Security Djamari Chaniago.

Also in attendance were State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi, Foreign Minister Sugiono, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.
