President Prabowo Appoints New Senior Officials at the Attorney General's Office
President Prabowo Subianto has issued a presidential decree (Keppres) appointing new principal officials within the Attorney General’s Office. The newly appointed officials range from the Deputy Attorney General to the new Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus).
“So, the officials included in the Keppres are, firstly, Asep Nana Mulyana as Deputy Attorney General,” said Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Wednesday (22/7/2026).
The list of newly appointed officials at the Attorney General’s Office is as follows:
Asep Nana Mulyana as Deputy Attorney General
Leonard Ebenezer Simanjuntak as Junior Attorney General for General Crimes (Jampidum)
Kuntadi as Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus)
Harli Siregar as Head of the Attorney General’s Education and Training Agency
Patris Yusrian Jaya as Head of the Attorney General’s Asset Recovery Agency
Pras explained that the appointment of these new officials is legally valid through the presidential decree and does not require a direct inauguration by President Prabowo. Formally, the named individuals immediately assume their new positions within the Attorney General’s Office.
Pras had previously stated that the definitive Keppres for the new Jampidsus would be issued after Febrie Adriansyah resigned. He revealed that President Prabowo would sign the decree shortly. “We reiterate that last week the Attorney General officially sent a letter to the President regarding the proposed name for the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes, as the previous officeholder had submitted his resignation some time ago,” Pras said at the Presidential Palace complex on Tuesday (21/7).
Pras noted that the proposed Jampidsus and several other officials recommended by Attorney General ST Burhanuddin had been vetted by the Final Assessment Team. “At that time, we also requested time for the proposals to be discussed according to the mechanism within the final assessment team,” he said. “And God willing, within the next one or two days, a decision will be made and the President will sign the Keppres appointing the new officials,” he added.
