President Prabowo Announces Specialist Medical Programmes in 11 Provinces

President Prabowo Subianto delivered his State of the Union address during the Annual Session of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representative Council (DPD) ahead of the 81st Anniversary of Indonesian Independence. The event was held on Friday, 14 August 2026, at the Nusantara Building, Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta. In his speech, President Prabowo presented the performance results of the ‘Red and White’ cabinet government over the past 21 months. He announced the government’s plan to establish specialist medical study programmes in 11 provinces to increase the number of doctors in Indonesia.
