President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Also Receive Eid Allowance, Here's the Amount
President Prabowo Subianto issued Government Regulation (PP) No. 9 of 2026 concerning the provision of Eid holiday allowances (THR) and the 13th-month salary for state apparatus members, pensioners, pension recipients and benefit recipients for 2026, effective from 3 March 2026.
Under this regulation, Prabowo determined the amount of THR and 13th-month salary for state apparatus members and their pensioners, ranging from civil servants (PNS), state apparatus workers (PPPK), military and police (TNI/Polri), to officials and non-civil service state apparatus employees (ASN) for the 2026 budget year. This means that state officials including the president, vice president and ministers are also entitled to receive THR and the 13th-month salary.
Under Law No. 7 of 1978 concerning the Administrative Financial Rights of the President and Vice President, the salary of the President of the Republic of Indonesia is set at six times the highest basic salary of state officials other than the president and vice president. Meanwhile, the vice president’s salary is set at four times the highest basic salary of state officials other than the president and vice president.
The highest basic salary for state officials other than the president and vice president is Rp 5,040,000 per month, which is the salary for high-ranking state officials at the level of the Speaker of the House of Representatives and Speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly. This regulation remains in effect today.
Presidential and Vice Presidential Salary Calculation:
The President’s salary can reach Rp 30.24 million, calculated as 6 × Rp 5.04 million per month.
The Vice President’s salary is Rp 20.16 million, calculated as 4 × Rp 5.04 million per month.
Presidential and Vice Presidential Allowances:
Allowances for the president and vice president are substantially larger than their basic salaries. In accordance with Presidential Decision (Keppres) No. 68 of 2001, the following allowances apply:
The president’s position allowance is set at Rp 32.5 million per month.
The vice president’s position allowance is Rp 22 million per month.
Thus, the president’s gross income totals Rp 62.7 million, whilst the vice president receives Rp 42.16 million per month.
Based on these regulations, the THR received by President Prabowo could reach Rp 62,740,000 and Vice President Gibran Rp 42,160,000. However, this amount does not include calculations for other attached allowances.
