President Prabowo and Dutch PM Discuss Trade and Global Issues in Phone Call
President Prabowo Subianto held a telephone conversation with Dutch Prime Minister Rob Jetten on Thursday (11/6/2026). The two leaders exchanged views on strengthening bilateral relations and trade cooperation.
The Netherlands’ Ambassador to Indonesia, HE Marc Gerritsen, revealed via Instagram that the heads of state discussed the importance of international cooperation for security and prosperity in the region and beyond.
One of the key topics was trade cooperation between Indonesia and the European Union. Various regional and global issues were also of mutual concern, including the Middle East situation.
“As well as addressing the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the European Union and Indonesia and the situation in the Strait of Hormuz,” Gerritsen stated.
This communication underscores the commitment of Indonesia and the Netherlands to continue strengthening a mutually beneficial partnership amidst evolving global dynamics.
“Precisely in a chaotic world, Indonesia and the Netherlands are working together to strengthen ties,” Gerritsen said. “And our countries are like-minded partners in a rapidly changing world.”
