President Prabowo allocates Rp100bn for 1,098 sacrificial cattle for Eid al-Adha

President Prabowo Subianto has donated 1,098 sacrificial cattle for Eid al-Adha 1447 AH. The cattle will be distributed to regional governments, educational institutions, Islamic boarding schools, and community leaders across various provinces. Deputy Minister of the State Secretariat Juri Ardiantoro detailed that 598 cattle will go to all provincial and district/city governments, while 500 will be allocated to community and religious leaders. ‘All 1,098 cattle are accounted for,’ Juri stated during a press briefing at the Presidential Complex in Central Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2025. He also confirmed the cattle meet Islamic requirements: over two years old, male, and free from defects, with premium quality. ‘The cattle were sourced through coordination between the State Secretariat, the Presidential Secretariat, the Ministry of Agriculture, and local animal husbandry and veterinary services,’ he added. The total budget for the sacrifice amounts to Rp100 billion, funded by the state budget (APBN) through the Presidential Social Assistance budget. Additionally, the President donated a 1.3-ton Simmental bull to Jakarta’s Istiqlal Mosque.
