President Prabowo Acknowledges Debt of Gratitude to NTB Residents, Inaugurates Five Dams
President Prabowo Subianto has admitted he owes a great debt of gratitude to the people of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) because, despite losing three times in presidential elections, residents in the region remained loyal in voting for him. “I feel proud and honoured because today the people of NTB have invited me. They have always supported me. Even though I lost several times, the people of NTB remained loyal to me,” Prabowo said at the beginning of his speech during the inauguration of five dams in Indonesia, centred at the Meninting Dam in West Lombok Regency, NTB, on Friday. He stated that he still owes a great deal to the people of NTB. Nevertheless, he asked the people of NTB to remain calm as his leadership term is still very long. President Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to all the people of NTB. The President inaugurated five dams in Indonesia, including the Meninting Dam in West Lombok, NTB, the Keureuto and Rukoh dams in Aceh, the Jlantah Dam in Central Java, and the Sidan Dam in Bali.
