President Orders Rosan to Conduct Roadshow to Rating Agencies and Global Stakeholders
Jakarta: Investment and Downstream Industries Minister/Head of BKPM, Rosan Roeslani, revealed that President Prabowo Subianto has instructed the economic team to be more proactive in maintaining global perceptions and confidence in Indonesia. One concrete step requested is conducting roadshows to rating agencies and various stakeholders abroad.
Rosan conveyed this during a press conference for the Indonesia Economic Outlook 2026. He affirmed that the government recognises many policies already in place are yielding positive results, but need to be more widely communicated to the international community.
“We had discussions with the President earlier. There are indeed a great many developments that are very positive, but we need to socialise these not only domestically but also internationally. Naturally, this includes reaching out to external parties including rating agencies. The President has asked us to be more active in reaching out to them,” said Rosan at Wisma Danantara, Jakarta, on Friday, 13 February 2026.
According to Rosan, the government will establish a cross-ministerial and inter-agency team to strengthen this communication effort. The team will involve the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Financial Services Authority (OJK), the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and the Ministry of Finance.
Rosan emphasised that this initiative aims to demonstrate Indonesia’s commitment to continuing policy reforms to improve the investment climate. The government wants to ensure that various regulatory breakthroughs, ease of doing business measures, and fiscal consistency are fully understood by global investors.
“We continue to carry out policy reforms in order to improve the investment climate in Indonesia. We will be even more proactive, as we have received considerable feedback. In truth, many of our policies are positive, but they need to be socialised more widely to the outside world,” said Rosan.
