President Officially Inaugurates Nanik Deyang as Head of National Nutrition Agency and Labour Leader Said Iqbal as Special Advisor
President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated Nanik S. Deyang as the head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) at the State Palace in Jakarta on Monday (8/6/2026). During the ceremony, the President also appointed Agustina Arumsari and retired Major General TNI Trenggono as Deputy Heads of the BGN.
The appointments were made based on Presidential Decree of the Republic of Indonesia Number 18/M of 2026 regarding the dismissal and appointment of the Head and Deputy Heads of the National Nutrition Agency, as well as the dismissal of the Deputy Head of the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP). Consequently, Nanik officially replaces Dadan Hindayana as the head of the BGN, while Agustina Arumsari and Trenggono succeed Lodewijk Pusung and Sony Sonjaya as Deputy Heads.
During the ceremony, which commenced at 16:30 WIB, President Prabowo personally led the inauguration process. Nanik, Agustina, and Trenggono stood before the President accompanied by religious officials to take their oaths of office, pledging loyalty to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and the laws of the land.
Furthermore, President Prabowo inaugurated Said Iqbal, President of the Indonesian Confederation of Trade Unions (KSPI) and President of the Labour Party, as the Special Advisor to the President for Employment and Labour Welfare.
The inauguration was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, and Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan, among others.
The leadership changes follow the President’s decision on Tuesday (2/6/2026) to remove Dadan Hindayana, Lodewijk Pusung, and Sony Sonjaya from their positions. Prior to this, Nanik served as Deputy Head of the BGN, Agustina as Deputy Head of the BPKP, and Trenggono as Deputy President Director of PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi explained that the reshuffle is the result of government monitoring and evaluation regarding the implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) programme over the past eighteen months. This follows the Attorney General’s Office’s decision on Wednesday (3/6/2026) to name Dadan Hindayana, Sony Sanjaya, and Lodewyk Pusung as suspects in an alleged corruption case involving the management of the MBG programme for the 2025-2026 fiscal year.
