President Lula Calls China Brazil's "Best Partner"

Brasilia (ANTARA) - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Thursday (26/3) described China as Brazil’s “best partner” at the reopening of an automotive factory that marks the collaboration between Brazilian and Chinese companies in Anapolis, Brazil. Speaking at the industrial area owned by the Brazilian automotive conglomerate CAOA, Lula expressed his confidence that Brazil’s partnership with China would grow even stronger, as China is Brazil’s “best partner”. At the event, the production line for the Uni-T model, produced through a partnership with Chinese automaker Changan, was officially launched. Lula praised the cooperation for bringing Chinese technology to Brazil and expressed thanks to the entrepreneurs involved. Official Chinese data shows that the value of two-way trade between Brazil and China reached approximately $188 billion (1 USD = Rp16,903) in 2024, reaffirming China’s position as Brazil’s largest trading partner. Lula added that Brazil’s automotive sector is projected to receive investments of 190 billion Brazilian reals (1 BRL = Rp3,236), equivalent to $36 billion, by 2033.
