President Instructs All Ministries and Agencies to Support BGN in Making Free Nutritious Meal Programme a Success
President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto has instructed all relevant ministries and agencies (K/L) to provide full support to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) in ensuring the successful implementation of the Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) Programme. The President gave the directive during a Limited Meeting at the Presidential Palace on Wednesday, 15 July 2026, as part of efforts to strengthen the implementation of this national priority programme.
According to Deputy Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Agustina Arumsari, during the limited meeting, President Prabowo Subianto stressed the importance of cross-sector collaboration so that the implementation of the MBG Programme becomes more optimal and provides broad benefits to the community.
“The President directed that all relevant ministries and agencies support and assist BGN in making the Free Nutritious Meal Programme a success. This synergy is an important step to strengthen the programme’s implementation on the ground,” said Agustina Arumsari after the Limited Meeting at the Presidential Palace, Wednesday (15/7).
This directive confirms that the success of the MBG Programme is a shared responsibility. Therefore, BGN will continue to strengthen coordination with ministries, agencies, local governments, and all implementing partners to ensure that every stage of the programme runs effectively, in an integrated manner, and in accordance with applicable regulations.
Cross-sector collaboration will focus on strengthening governance, improving implementation coordination, supervision, and resolving various implementation challenges in the field. With the support of all stakeholders, the MBG Programme is expected to be of higher quality and provide optimal benefits to the community.
BGN welcomed the President’s directive and is committed to continuing to build synergy with all ministries and agencies in realising a Free Nutritious Meal Programme that is effective, well-targeted, and sustainable as part of efforts to improve the quality of Indonesia’s human resources towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.
