“President Prabowo Subianto is travelling to Central Halmahera, North Maluku Province, to launch a downstreaming programme worth US$10.2 billion, or roughly Rp180 trillion, consisting of the first export of electric vehicle batteries and the launch of 11 downstreaming programme projects,” said Teddy.
The President was accompanied by several ministers of the Red and White Cabinet, including Coordinating Minister for Downstreaming and Energy Transition and Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia, and Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Sugiono.
Also on board were State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi and Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas Maruarar Sirait.
Bahlil said the coordinating ministry had been established to strengthen the consolidation of downstreaming and energy transition programmes, which form part of President Prabowo’s Asta Cita agenda.
“We know that the President has a programme, one of which within Asta Cita concerns downstreaming and energy transition, and this must be consolidated through the coordinating ministry so that execution can be accelerated going forward,” said Bahlil after his inauguration.
Bahlil said his ministry would act as coordinator for related ministries and agencies, including the Ministry of Investment and Downstreaming, to accelerate the achievement of downstreaming and energy transition targets.
