President gathers ministers and echelon I officials to align government vision
Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto summoned the entire ranks of ministries and agencies, from ministers, deputy ministers, heads of agencies/bodies, deputy heads of agencies/bodies to echelon I-level officials to the Presidential Palace, Jakarta, on Wednesday, to align the vision of the government moving forward.
State Secretary Minister Prasetyo Hadi said that the meeting aims to strengthen coordination and unite the perspectives of all government elements in facing national and global challenges.
“Of course, in order to once again unite the vision, unite the perspectives, unite our energy to face the coming years,” Prasetyo stated at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, on Wednesday.
He explained that the President wants to ensure that all government work programmes can be implemented optimally and swiftly by the bureaucracy as the main executor of state policies.
According to him, the President likened the government to a football team, where the bureaucracy becomes an important element that carries out development strategies and programmes.
“So the hope is that this afternoon he will give directions, he will inject spirit into all of us to continue working even harder, implementing programmes, and continuing to be oriented towards the interests of the nation and state and the interests of the people,” he said.
In addition to strengthening internal government coordination, the President is also scheduled to convey views on global geopolitical dynamics that are seen as increasingly complex and impacting various sectors of life in countries around the world.
Prasetyo assessed that the dynamic global situation must become a spur for all government elements to strengthen national planning and strategic steps so that Indonesia can survive and continue to develop amid global uncertainty.
“We must make it a catalyst, especially for all government elements, to face such a global situation, what we must do, what we must plan, what we must work on so that we as a nation can continue to survive,” he added.
